Frontlines is a non-profit organization, and has always managed to offer a lot to the community while operating on a very slim budget. Listed below are some of the ways we raise money for our operations.
Weston Park is an important supporter of our work. They pay the building mortgage and some maintenance, and contribute a significant portion of the Director’s salary.
Government funding and corporate and private foundation grants allow us to meet our programmatic needs.
We were recently the proud recipients of a Youth Challenge Fund (Project Rejuvenation), The Green Shield Community Foundation Grant (Strong Man) and are partners with World Vision (Front Burner).
We received the 10th Anniversary Celebration Award from the Toronto Raptors Foundation in 2005. We have received funds from many other granting organizations, such as The Toronto Community Foundation, Community Mobilization Program, Community Access Program (CAP), Breaking the Cycle of Violence, and Hockey for the Homeless, to name just a few.
Weston is one of the most under-served areas of the city and the second poorest riding in the province of Ontario! We continue to persevere in all our endeavors.
Private donations:
Many of our program and operating costs are covered by the generous support of private donations from individuals, community organizations and local businesses. If you would like to support us financially, we’d greatly appreciate your support! Please send your tax-receiptable donation to Frontlines, 1844 Weston Rd., Toronto, ON M9N 1V8.
